Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has been left impressed by the huge improvement made by the Blues star Kai Havertz in recent times. When Chelsea paid a huge sum of money to sign the Germany international star from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, many Chelsea fans expected him to hit the ground running immediately because of the fantastic season he had with the German club during the previous campaign. His arrival at Stamford Bridge was one that also made headlines, with some news outlets claiming that he could have a hard time adapting to the English style of football.

Following his move to Chelsea, Havertz began showing signs of shakiness, the direct opposite of what Chelsea fans were expecting from him. I’m his first few games in a blue shirt, Havertz was playing with nervousness and a lack of confidence as he struggled to showcase his talent and prove his doubters wrong. However, despite his poor form, the club’s former manager Frank Lampard still had his trust in him.
