Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has said that he is certainly not worried about the form shown by the former champions Bayern Munich in the league this season.
Bayern Munich have not managed to win the league for the last two seasons, which is a phenomenon that does not happen always in the German Bundesliga. Borussia Dortmund have been able to claim the title for the last two seasons under the guidance of young manager Jurgen Klopp. However, he faces one of the toughest tests of his managerial career due to the fact that Borussia Dortmund will also have to meet the Champions League commitments as well.
As a result of playing in both the competitions, Borussia Dortmund have not been at their best in the domestic season in the first few matches of the campaign. Bayern Munich already have a nine-point advantage over Borussia Dortmund in the league, while they have won all the seven matches of the campaign so far. Even more impressive is the fact that they have conceded just two goals in these seven matches, while scoring 21 goals at an average of 3 per game at the other end. Despite this, Jurgen Klopp has said that he is not worried.
Jurgen Klopp was speaking on the occasion of the 1-1 draw with Hanover during the weekend. “We play our own season and only twice against Bayern Munich. These games are very interesting, but they are not the final result [of the Bundesliga] after seven games,” said the Borussia Dortmund manager after the match. It is highly unlikely that the club will be able to retain the title for the third season by the start that they have made to the new campaign. Borussia Dortmund have won only three league matches out of the seven they have played so far.
